Meet Our Team

Dan Exter
Co-Founder
Dan Exter is a 2008 graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he received his B.S. in Sport Management. With his background in marketing, sales and digital production he was able to launch Layups 4 Life in 2014, with his now wife and co-founder, Dana Levine Exter. Layups 4 Life became an official 501(c)(3) non profit organization in 2017 after starting out as a third party fundraising group, solely supporting Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Layups 4 Life stems from Dan’s own battle with cancer at the age of 27, as he was diagnosed with A.L.L (acute lymphoblastic leukemia). Taking that experience and having the desire to help those undergoing their own fight with cancer, Dan wanted to become an advocate in supporting the doctors, nurses and researchers on the front lines in the fight against cancer. With that passion to help others, Layups 4 Life was born. The mission of their organization is to raise vital funds for cancer research and clinical trials, supporting cancer research institutions such as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dan focuses on the business & fundraising development, marketing, operations and social awareness efforts of Layups 4 Life. If you have any questions about how you can get involved, you can email Dan at [email protected]. You can also connect with Dan on LinkedIn and follow L4L’s social media handles @layups4life to stay up to date with all the latest news about their organization.
