When I first started Layups 4 Life, I had originally planned our only fundraising event to be our charity 3-on-3 basketball tournament. As I met other event organizers like myself, I had come to realize that the basketball tournament was only a small piece to the overall fundraising puzzle.

We are extremely proud of the money we have raised for cancer research and clinical trials ($28,000+), benefitting Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center but we know we have only scratched the surface. With that being said, we are very excited to announce our ‘Health and Wellness’ fundraising series. These events will be a big part in taking our fundraising efforts to the next level.

We are thrilled to announce our first partnership in our ‘Health and Wellness’ series working with Yoga in the Heights (YITH). Based out of Jersey City, New Jersey, YITH is a yoga and wellness center that provides a variety of holistic offerings within a safe and welcoming environment. They pride themselves and encourage opportunities to re-energize your mind, body and how to experience a fulfilling and meaningful life.  From May through September, YITH offers a donation based class every Sunday in Riverview Park, located on Palisade Avenue in Jersey City Heights.

On Sunday, September 25th, at 11am YITH will have their LAST Yoga in the Park class of the season. These classes are donation based and a portion of the money raised during this class will directly benefit L4L.

Please come and join us! Let’s close out the Yoga in the Park season with a relaxing outdoor yoga session- Don’t miss the the Riverview Park Farmers Market, and make sure you check out the VIEW! BYO mat and water.  ALL LEVELS WELCOME (The first 20 participants will receive a FREE Layups 4 Life towel). *Suggested donation minimum $10

Any questions you can reach out to us at [email protected] or [email protected]
