What is Layups 4 Life?

Layups 4 Life (L4L) is a non-profit organization that helps raise vital funds for cancer research and clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

How Can I Get Involved?

There are 4 ways in which you get involved with Layups 4 Life.

1.  Register a team to play in our 3-on-3-basketball tournament. (2018 registration opens January 4th)

2. Make a donation and help us in our 2018 fundraising efforts.

3. Create a fundraising team page and get your friends, family and co-workers support in helping Layups 4 Life fundraise! Click HERE to learn how to do so.

How Can I Help Fundraise?

When and Where is your charity basketball tournament held?

Our fourth annual 3v3 charity basketball tournament will be held on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at the Parsippany PAL Youth Center in Parsippany, New Jersey. 

How much does it cost to register a team for your basketball tournament?

Registration cost is $32 per player with a max of 4 people per team.

Registration fee will increase to $40 per player on April 9th

What are the rules and layout of the 3-on-3 tournament?

Rules and layout for our 4th annual 3v3 charity basketball tournament will be posted as we get closer to event day. Stay tuned

How old do I have to be to play in the 3-on-3 Tournament?

To play in our tournament you need to be 13+. The tournament is open to both kids and adults. We have had teams with players in their 50s and 60s.We will place you in a division of similar age and skill-set.  Want to put together a co-ed team? Not a problem.

Do you accept credit/debit card on event day for concessions, donations etc.?

Yes! Bring cash and or credit on event day to purchase concessions, raffle tickets or make a donation.

Is the 3-on-3 Tournament the only thing taking place on event day?

NO! In addition to our tournament we have a raffle and silent auction with prizes from restaurants, local and national businesses. Our silent auction items are signed sports memorabilia and tickets from the New York Yankees, New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils, New York Giants and many more!

What if I don’t play basketball or want to play but it’s not really my best sport?

First of all, you do NOT have to be the second coming of LeBron James to play in our basketball tournament. We ask in on our registration form for your skill-set as we use that information to pair similarly skilled teams against each other in our opening rounds. Second, if basketball still isn’t your thing you can make a donation or come and spend the day as there will be food, music and other fun activities!

How do I register my team and/or make a donation?

Both can be done on our website, . Our donation page is active, just go to our site and click ‘ Donate’ in the top menu bar. Stay tuned for registration as that will open up on January 4th.
